RIBERA DEL DUERO, a designation of origin home to which vineyards are housed, is located in Castile and León, within a strip of the basin of the Douro River, about 115 kilometres long and about 35 km wide, located at the confluence of the provinces of Soria, Burgos, Segovia and Valladolid.
The History of the D.O RIBERA DEL DUERO has gone parallel to the union of the vineyard and wine, to the fruit of strains that mark its landscape, the personality of its people and its culture. The Designation of Origin, as we know it today, emerged after the initiative of a series of winemakers and winemakers concerned with promoting the vineyards and the quality of the broths of the Ribera del Duero. The first Act in the books of the Regulatory Council dates back to 23 July 1980, when the Agency acted on a provisional basis. Two years later, on 21 July 1982, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food granted the Ribera del Duero the Designation of Origin and adopted its first Regulation.
Various grapes: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Garnacha and Albillo.
