Linked to the world of wine for more than eight centuries, Abadal is a family winery born from the vocation of making wines that express the uniqueness of its landscape.

Vineyards on terraces surrounded by forest, unique traditional varieties - Picapoll and Mandó as the main exponents - and clay soil with a strong presence of stone.


Ours is a unique landscape of small vineyard plots surrounded by forest.

Holm oaks, oaks and pines that coexist harmoniously with our vines and that are vividly expressed in our wines, providing unique nuances.

Our vineyards, distributed on terraces at different levels, are nourished by a soil of clay and calcareous stone that, with the proximity of the forest and the contribution it makes to our wines, gives expressiveness and complexity. The vineyards are immersed in a unique Mediterranean-type microclimate with continental influence, with a marked thermal oscillation between day and night.


In the search for purity in our wines and with the aim of remaining faithful to the character of Bages, at Abadal we use the fruits of the best vineyards on our estate and combine traditional winemaking techniques with avant-garde concepts.
It is in the vineyard, after all, where our wines are born and defined.

Description:

Abadal 3.9 is a Vino de finca made by the Abadal winery , originally from polygon 3, plot 9 in Plá de Bages.

The terroir is red clay soil and calcareous stone, arranged in terraces and surrounded by forest, which gives it a unique mineral and balsamic imprint.

The variety used is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on this land with special care to obtain exceptional quality. The harvest is done manually and undergoes a rigorous selection in the winery. The vintage is from 2018 and the alcoholic degree is 14.5% vol. It is a red wine for aging, aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. It is an ideal wine to accompany meat dishes, game and mature cheeses.
